Connecting Oculus Quest 2 to Your PC with Oculus Link

For a wired connection to your gaming PC, you can use Oculus Link. Use the Oculus Link cable or a high-quality USB-C 3.0 cable. However, make sure to double-check the reviews for using third-party cables.

Step 2 -Download the Oculus PC app. Once you have downloaded the PC App, make sure that the software version is up to date.

Step 3 -Start up theOculus app and turn on your headset.

Step 4 -Plug in one end of the Oculus Link cable into the gaming PC's USB 3.0 port. The other cable end should be plugged into your headset.

Step 5 -Once in virtual reality, you will need to see anAllow Access to Data prompt. ChooseDeny.

Step 6 -Check to enable Oculus Link prompt, toggle onEnable.


Connecting Oculus Quest 2 to Your PC with Air Link

For more mobility, some people prefer to use a wireless connection for their VR headsets. You can connect Oculus Quest 2 via wireless using Air Link. Wireless connection only works with Oculus Quest 2 VR headsets. Ensure that your Oculus Quest 2 and the Oculus App on your gaming PC are updated to version 28 or later.

Follow these steps to pair your Oculus Quest 2 with your gaming PC for the first time. 

Step 1 - On your gaming PC, navigate to theOculus App. Choose Settings, and click on theBeta tab. Choose the button beside theAir Link.

Step 2 -Wear your VR gaming headset, then press the Oculus button to open the menu.

Step 3 -Select theSettingsgear icon, and choose theExperimental Features.

Step 4 - Choose the button besideAir Link,then selectContinue.

Step 5 -From the list of Available PCs, choose your PC model and selectPair. Once it is done pairing, chooseLaunch.

After you have paired your Oculus Quest 2 and your gaming PC for the first time. Any future connections will only need you to switch Air Link on via the Quick Actions menu in the Settings.


Connecting Headphones to Oculus Quest 2

Some people like using headphones in your Oculus Quest 2 headset. It supports 3.5mm headphones and USB-C headphones. You can use standard headphones with a 3.5mm jack and plug headphones into the audio port. You can find it on the right side of the Oculus Quest 2 headset.

To use USB-C headphones with your Oculus 2, plug the USB cable into its charging port. This is located on the right side of the headset, which you can see behind the standard audio port.

If you plugged in 2 sets of headphones, the headphones plugged into the 3.5mm audio port will work.
